My Biography

I’ve recently chosen to work at Kaiser Permanente because of the organization’s stellar reputation and its ability to deliver care to a diverse population base within multiple specialties. After recently becoming a San Francisco resident, I value the opportunity to serve the broad spectrum of patients this city offers.

Kaiser Permanente’s integrated health care model enables our patients to receive comprehensive, accessible, high-quality and timely care. The fact that I do not have to invest time in business and front-office concerns allows me to focus fully on patients’ needs. I believe in equitable care for all, and within Kaiser Permanente’s system, I feel able to deliver that care.

I became a high-risk obstetrician because I enjoy taking care of women during the unique and eventful period of pregnancy. I value the complexities of taking care of two (or more!) patients within the same individual, and I feel lucky to be able to guide patients through what can sometimes be a medically and emotionally challenging time. My areas of interest include prenatal diagnosis, multiple gestation and cervical insufficiency.

I THRIVE through daily aerobic exercise and through a newfound practice of Vinyasa yoga. I take advantage of the natural beauty of the Bay Area and the fine arts available in San Francisco in my free time, but I also view traveling as an important hobby. I enjoy cooking and playing the piano as well.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
