My Specialty and Why I Chose It

I am a physical therapist. I treat patients with musculoskeletal disorders through the use of manual therapy, exercises and physical activities. I enjoy doing physical therapy because I can help condition patients' muscles, restore strength and movement, and improve our clients' overall quality of life.

My Practice Philosophy

I practice clinical and evidence based medicine in order to provide the most effective treatment. In addition to treating the problem at hand, I place a lot of emphasis on clients learning how to take care of themselves for long-term management.

My Tenure with Kaiser Permanente

I have been a part of Kaiser Permanente since 2005. I have really come to appreciate the convenience for our members to take care of most of their health care needs within one facility. The communication between health care providers is exceptional, which further augments our standards of care.

Why I Like Practicing Medicine at Kaiser Permanente

My colleagues and I come from all different backgrounds and have a wealth of information that we share with one another. Although we practice autonomously, we can rely on each other for resources of information.

My Professional Interests and Affiliations

I am primarily interested in orthopedics, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and vestibular rehabilitation. I am affiliated with the American Physical Therapy Association and National Athletic Trainers Association.

On a Personal Note…

I love the outdoors and traveling! My primary interests are hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, scuba diving, and snow skiing. I am also passionate about the environment and preserving our wildlife. My family means everything to me, and cannot wait to expose all the things I love in this world to my children.

I have taken the Folsom Physical Therapy Long Term Manual Therapy course. I have also studied Tuina (Chinese Manual Therapy) at the Chinese Olympic Training Center in Beijing, under the guidance of the physicians of the national teams.
