Welcome to the Pediatric Rehabilitation Department in Oakland and my home page!

I came to Kaiser in August 2009 and moved to the Bay Area for this purpose. I have been a pediatric occupational therapist for 12 years and am excited about being able to be a part of the Pediatric Rehabilitation team here at Kaiser as it grows and develops.

I am originally from a small town in Southern California near Santa Barbara. I have lived in Washington State and in various places in California. I have experience in a variety of pediatric occupational therapy settings including: Children’s Hospital in San Diego, California Children’s Services, Regional Center (birth to three) programs, school districts and a private sensory integration clinic. I am SIPT certified and also have my advance practice certification in the treatment of feeding and swallowing disorders.

I love watching the children I work with grow and develop independence to the best of their ability. Fostering independence, I believe, is one of the greatest gifts that we can give them.

When I am not at Kaiser, I spend lots of time with friends, love nature, reading, watching videos on TED and most importantly DANCE! Vintage dances of the 1930’s and 1940’s are my specialty and passion. I love to compete, perform and dance whenever I get a chance.

An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
