About Me

I chose medicine as a career when I volunteered in a refugee camp in Thailand. Medical needs were critical but I had no medical skills. That exposure planted the seed for my medical life. I hope to go back to Thailand someday to offer the help they will always need.

Facing an acute medical condition requiring a hospital stay can be a frightening experience. I chose to be a hospitalist because helping people through this delicate healing process is extremely satisfying to me.

I started with Kaiser Permanente in 2006 and believe that Kaiser Permanente's excellent team approach to patient health care gives people the dedicated specialists they need to achieve optimum health. Who wouldn't want a whole team on their side?

My main concern is the patient who is in front of me. As a hospitalist, I am my patient's advocate, and Kaiser Permanente gives me the resources to maximize every individual's care.

I have trained in Grenada, the US, and England, and enjoy working with a variety of cultures. The diseases may be the same, but people's stories and experiences are never the same. I look forward to that diversity.

My Credentials

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
