Welcome to My Practice

It is a privilege to work for Kaiser Permanente and be part of a team whose commitment is to provide quality care for our members and their families, and to contribute to the well-being of our communities. My work includes counseling patients about hearing loss and other hearing disorders and hearing aid dispensing. I enjoy working with patients of all ages, and find great satisfaction in helping others in their communication needs. My professional interests include cochlear implants, amplification, electrophysiological measures and pediatric audiology.

Background

I was born in the Philippines and immigrated in the United States in 1992. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Communicative Disorders and Sciences from San Jose State University in 2001, and my Master’s degree in Communicative Disorders, emphasis in Audiology from California State University, Northridge in 2003. I attended Salus University, George S. Osborne College of Audiology and received my Clinical Doctorate in Audiology in November 2008. I joined Kaiser Permenente Hearing Center, Redwood City right after obtaining my Master’s degree in June of 2003 as a Clinical Fellow in Audiology, and in July of 2004 became a Staff Audiologist and worked there until April 2009. In April 2009, I was fortunate to join the Kaiser Hearing Aid Center, San Jose.

Interests

Spending quality time with my family and friends. I enjoy swimming, hiking, running and playing badminton. I volunteer some of my time coaching athletes from Special Olympics Northern California, Silicon Valley Chapter.

Recommendations

Hearing loss can create communication struggles in the most important relationships in your life or in the lives of loved ones and friends. Hiding hearing loss, ignoring it or postponing treatment must no longer be an option. It is essential to mind and body to seek alternatives that improve hearing and restore the essential qualities of life. In the recent years, there have been breakthroughs in hearing aid technology that positively impact hearing ability. Come see us to help you realize the joy of hearing again.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
