Welcome to my Home Page!

I was born and raised in the Swiss Alps. After receiving my teaching credentials, I farmed in the Alps and worked in a zoo in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland. Believing that there must be flat landscapes on earth, I ventured out and worked in community development projects in Philadelphia and San Diego. Inspired by this work, I enrolled in the School of Social Services at St. Louis University. I worked as a licensed clinical social worker at San Francisco General Hospital where I gained a deep appreciation for the interdependence of physical, psychological, and environmental influences in a person’s well-being. I attended the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences and received my license as acupuncturist in 1997. Through the principles of Chinese Medicine I discovered a way to address the manifold aspects of one’s well-being.

In my personal life, I strive for balance through my family and friends, and by gardening, bicycling, bee-keeping and playing the piano. I invite you to explore with me the ways in which acupuncture can contribute to improving the balance in your life.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
