Welcome to My Home Page

Welcome to my home page. My colleagues and I have developed home pages to make it easier for you to interact with me and for me to take care of many of your healthcare needs. I'm eager to work with you to make your experience at Kaiser Permanente a positive one.

My Background

I was born and raised in Nebraska and attended both undergraduate and medical school there. I then completed my anesthesia residency in Virginia at the Medical College of Virginia and moved on to a fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesia at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Since finishing my training, I have worked in academic practice at M.C.V. and U.C.D. Medical Center, entered a general private practice for 13 years, and then joined Kaiser Permanente in 2007 to concentrate my practice on pediatric anesthesia.

Family & Friends

I am married with 3 children. My wife and I have lived in the Sacramento region since 1990. We are of course busy with all of our children's various activities, but enjoy golfing at every opportunity we get.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
