My Biography

I was born in Taipei and grew up in California. I received my undergraduate degree from Stanford University in 1987. I completed my medical school at the University Of Cincinnati School Of Medicine and finished my residency at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. I completed a fellowship in Thoracic Radiology from the University of Maryland Medical Center and in Interventional Radiology from the Medical University of South Carolina.

I've been a Kaiser physician since 2000. I received the Hero Award for distinguished patient care three times, in March 2002, November 2004 and in October 2008. I have also been active in the teaching programs, being a frequent speaker for the medicine residency program and occasionally a guest speaker for other departments.

I perform the full spectrum of diagnostic and interventional procedures. In addition to imaging modalities such as CT, ultrasound, and MRI, etc., I also specializes in advanced interventional techniques such as biopsies, angiography, and embolizations, among others. I perform around a thousand such procedures in a typical year.

My Interests

When not busy working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and my two childeren (a son and a daughter). When I had free time, my hobbies included going to dinner, catching a movie, jogging, playing tennis, golf, and surfing the internet.
