About Me

I received my undergraduate degree from Santa Clara University in Biology. I received my medical degree from the University of Southern California. After medical school, I initially started training in Pathology. I did this four 4 years prior to switching specialties to Obstetrics and Gynecology. I made this switch because I wanted more patient contact, enjoyed delivering babies and it gave me the opportunity to operate. My background in Pathology gives me additional insight for the management of my patients. Both of these residencies were done at the University of California Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. I am board certified in Ob/Gyn by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. I joined the Permanente Medical Group in 1998.

My Healthcare Practice

As an obstetrician and gynecologist, I am interested in making sure that a women's overall health is addressed and when there is a problem, working with the patient to come up with an acceptable treatment plan. I deal with both pregnant and non-pregnant women. I enjoy taking the journey with my patients throughout their pregnancies. I have learned that the most pleasurable part of my practice has been seeing patients followed over the years and help them with their problems as they mature through life.

Receiving Your Healthcare From Kaiser Permanente

The major advantage at Kaiser is that I am able to do what I feel is important for a patient’s care. That is, I can order any test, radiology exam or surgery that I feel is necessary without anyone’s approval and no one watching over my shoulder. The health care provided by myself and my colleagues is second to none. No physician is allowed to become a partner in our medical group unless they have been board certified in their respective specialty. I find this fact very reassuring both when my patients are seeing other physicians, as well as when my family sees a physician.

My Outside Interests

I have been married for 16 years and have three daughters - all of whom keep me in touch with the needs of my female patients. I have many hobbies among which are golf, water and snow skiing, running, tennis, biking, fishing, hunting - pretty much, if it can be done, I want to be doing it. My favorite time, as it is with most people, is spending quality time with my family!

I look forward to meeting you and taking care of you throughout your life and assist you in thriving.
