I was raised in Manhattan Beach, California. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from UC Santa Cruz, and a Masters of Nursing in Anesthesia from Samuel Merritt College. I have been a practicing RN for the last 25 years, working in a variety of areas, such as ICU, ER, homecare, and psychiatry. I have been working for Kaiser Permanente in Vallejo since 2006 as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

In my past incarnations, I have been a professional boat captain and airplane pilot. I love to travel and sail, and often combine those two as evidenced by my eight years of circumnavigation around the Caribbean in my 37-foot sailboat.

I currently live with my wife and two kitties in Sebastopol, California.
