My Biography
I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Connecticut and my medical degree from Wake Forest University Bowman Gray School of Medicine. I then completed a residency in Anaesthesiology at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by a sub-specialty fellowship in Cardiac Anaesthesia at Stanford University. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 1982, when I was one of two doctors recruited from Stanford University to start the San Francisco Medical Center's Cardiac Anaesthesiology program. Outside of work, I enjoy family vacations at beaches around the world, aerobic exercise, and reading.
