About Me

I was born in Loma Linda, California and lived there while my dad finished school. We then moved up to Humboldt County where my family has been ever since.

I went to college in Nebraska, where I completed my BSN in Nursing. After school my mission was to get experience in high acuity areas that would prepare me for Anesthesia School

I was accepted to Kaiser School of Anesthesia for Nurses in 1987. I completed my anesthesia training with a Masters degree in nursing and a clinical specialty in anesthesia. During school I also became a Navy Reservist.

During the first 10 years of my career I worked at Kaiser Hayward. In 2000 I had an opportunity to move to Sonoma County and work at Kaiser Santa Rosa. I am proud to work in a department that has such high standards and really care about everyone who comes through our operating room doors.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
