Welcome to my home page!
Thanks for visiting me on the web. As a Clinical Pharmacist, I participate on a multidisciplinary team of physicians, pharmacists, nurses, social workers, nutritionists and sub-specialists in the Departments of Infectious Diseases and Gastroenterology specializing in the care of HIV/AIDS patients, as well as those suffering Chronic Hepatitis C and/or Latent Tuberculosis Infection. Besides my responsibilities at the San Rafael Medical Center, I am also the Co-Chair of the KP Northern California Regional HIV Pharmacist Sub Group for 2007 and participate on the Marin County Hepatitis C Task Force. Needless to say, this all keeps me quite busy.
I am originally from the suburbs outside Toronto, Canada. I have been in the United States since 1995 and at Kaiser San Rafael since 1999. I am proud to be a member of such an outstanding department, medical center and organization. Throughout Kaiser there is a strong emphasis on the care of all diseases and maladies and I am happy to do my part in treating patients under often personal distress and uncertainty.
During my free time, I enjoy snow boarding and skiing during the winter and mountain biking and white water rafting in our warmer months. I also have a travel bug from time to time but I love the Bay Area and everything else Northern California has to offer.
Thanks again for viewing my home page. I hope you take a few minutes to look around. We’ve provided many useful links and educational materials in regards to infectious disease and my specialties. Besides these, Kaiser does a great job in trying to educate our membership and the public in general in the finer aspects of healthy living and preventative medicine. I urge you to take advantage of everything available.

An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
