Welcome to my Home Page,

As a Diabetes Nurse Educator and Phase Population Management Registered Nurse, I am happy to be able to help you better self manage your diabetes and other cardiovascular risk factors. I bring to my practice 32 years of nursing in Intensive Care, Open-Heart surgery, Hemodialysis, and Peritoneal Dialysis, along with Recovery Room and Urgent Care experience. I have been a nursing instructor for first year students at Cal State East Bay in the Skills Lab.I set up and educated staff about the Emergency Response Bags in Fremont and Union City.

I have been with Kaiser for 16 years and am excited about our Diabetes Program. I believe we are truly at the forefront of diabetes care. I am currently a member of the California Nurses Association and the American Diabetes Association.

In my spare time I enjoy healthy workouts at 24 Hour Fitness and hiking Mission Peak with my friends. I am married with two daughters who are in college. I own a miniature schnauzer and a beta fish. I look forward to working with you to achieve self-management of your diabetes so you can live a long healthy life.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
