My Biography

One of the main things that attracted me to Kaiser Permanente San Francisco was the amazing group of physicians I would be joining. Their commitment to continued learning and excellent patient care has been an inspiration for me. Together, we are empowered to provide comprehensive care for a very diverse patient population.

In nephrology, we have the privilege of treating patients who have complex acute and chronic medical conditions. In doing so, we develop a special bond with our patients as they adapt to different stages of kidney disease, including end-stage disease and dialysis. I am especially interested in exploring home renal replacement therapies, including home hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.

Living in beautiful San Francisco, one of my favorite things to do after a long day at work is to go on pleasant walks or hikes and explore different parts of the city, such as the Presidio or Marin Headlands. As a lifetime vegetarian, I enjoy discovering new and interesting ways to cook well-balanced meals.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
