My Biography

I was born and raised in Long Island, New York. I attended the University of Florida from which I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with Honors. I then pursued graduate study in Biochemistry and Psychology before attending medical school. I received my medical degree from the University of Miami. I completed my residency in Pediatrics and my fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Oregon Health Sciences University.

I joined The Permanente Medical Group in 1988. My area of clinical specialty is in Pediatric Cardiology. I have held several administrative positions at Kaiser Santa Clara including serving as the Chairman of the Resuscitation Committee, Chairman of the Imaging Utilization Committee, and Director of Continuing Medical Education in the Pediatrics Department. I am a clinical instructor for the Stanford University School of Medicine and teach residents at the Stanford campus as well as at Kaiser Santa Clara regularly. Currently, I am working as a Pediatric Hospital Based Specialist at Kaiser Santa Clara Medical Center.
