Hi, and thanks for taking the time to visit my home page.
I’m Dr Jeremy Martinez, and I have been with Kaiser Permanente, South Sacramento since the summer of 2002. I was born in Southern California, actually in a Kaiser Hospital in Lakewood. I graduated from UCLA in 1995 with a degree in biochemistry. After graduating, my wife and I drove a moving van all the way across the country to New York City (actually the salsa is not bad) where I attended medical school at Cornell. I enjoyed New York so much that I stayed on for residency training, but ultimately the cold weather and a new child made us long for warmer and more affordable surroundings.
I was eager to join the group here at South Sacramento, with its diverse interest and chance to be apart of a dynamic health care team. I currently serve as Disaster Management Co-Chair and help to make the facility ready for those unexpected events which have been so prominent in the news as of late.
In my off time I enjoy running, bicycling, skiing, and spending time with family. With my 3 kids, the hectic pace of the ER is sometimes matched by the hectic pace of my home life.
If you had to see me in the ER, I hope everything is well and if you have any non-urgent questions please feel free to contact me. Thanks for visiting.
