Jennifer Yu was born and raised in Hong Kong. Her undergraduate education was from Mount San Antonio College in pre-pharmacy. She went on to the University of Southern California, School of Pharmacy where she received her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. She completed her pharmacy residency at Kaiser Permanente Valley Service Area, Woodland Hills.

Her medical interests include managing HIV patients as well as anemia management. She previously worked at Kaiser's anticoagulation service and a hypertension program.

On a personal note, she enjoys singing, swimming, skiing, traveling and spending time with her family. She is fluent in English, Cantonese and understands Mandarin Chinese.
