I was raised in Taiwan, but my family moved to Los Angeles when I was a preteen. My undergraduate studies took me to Cornell University in upstate New York. Then, I went on to complete my medical school education at NYU. After eight years in New York, I was ready to return to sunny LA to complete my residency and fellowship. My training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has prepared me to take on the different challenges of treating patients with kidney diseases.

Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente Medical Group, I was practicing as an attending at Cedars-Sinai. I chose Kaiser Permanente because it provides a collegial environment where I can focus on delivering the best patient care. I enjoy getting to know my patients and their family and empowering my patients with the knowledge and tools to face their health problems.

I enjoy spending my time outside of work with my husband and my two young daughters. I believe that an active lifestyle and a good work-life balance help me to be a better clinician. We are looking forward to exploring all the great outdoor activities that the Bay Area has to offer.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
