About Me

I chose to become a physician, as I enjoy interacting with a variety of people. I find people fascinating and feel that I have much to learn from interactions with others. I enjoy using this connection to promote health and wellness. The human body is an amazing system and I enjoy learning the details of its well-crafted functions. Helping people feel better makes me feel good.

Why family medicine as a specialty and my current choice to work in the Minor Injury Center? Based on my appreciation of the ?whole being?, I enjoy seeing patients of all ages. I like to have an instant impact on a patient (for example, suturing a laceration or draining an abscess), as well as offering support and advice for the future health of patients. The variety of experiences keeps me engaged and looking forward to coming to work.

Kaiser Permanente offers me an open, yet organized structure for interacting with patients. I feel that I am able to make independent, informed decisions in my daily workflow. I also greatly enjoy working with the many talented physicians and staff that make up the organization. I strongly believe our integrated approach to medicine helps patients achieve health.

Health encompasses so much more than just the physical. The mind-body connection is intense and I feel that this aspect of medicine cannot be ignored. I look forward to helping you through injuries and illnesses, and hope to make your brief stay at Minor Injury Clinic as pleasant as possible. I hope that in our interaction, I can offer some seed to help you achieve a healthy, balanced life.

A Bay Area native, I enjoy outdoor activities, music, travel, and learning from other cultures and people. My pursuits have recently shifted a bit as my husband and I now have a beautiful, smiling daughter and are expecting a son. Family certainly adds to my appreciation of life.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
