Please note that my office hours are quite different from my department’s hours of operation. I am at KP-South San Francisco on Mondays and Tuesdays, and at KP-San Francisco on Thursdays and Fridays. On Wednesdays, I alternate between KP-SF and KP-South San Francisco. If you need to contact me, please call my medical assistants below. They are usually able to contact me wherever I am.

My Biography
I became interested in rheumatology while doing my general internal medicine training. The field attracted me because it is a specialty that requires intuition and gentleness. Over the years, I have enjoyed the personal interactions with the individuals who come to see me. Moving to Kaiser Permanente San Francisco in mid-career from private practice has been also very rewarding because of the emphasis here on working together.
The explosion in medical knowledge and related technology has been very beneficial to my patients. Being able to experience and use this new knowledge and technology has been emotionally and intellectually rewarding to me.
I love watching foreign movies, playing tennis and exploring the Bay area with my free time.
