How to Use My Home Page...

My Biography

I was excited to come to Kaiser Permanente San Francisco to help start an outpatient wound care program. I have always been passionate about the development of new clinical programs that meet community needs. It is also exciting to provide ostomy care services to a large and diverse patient population. Our integrated health care system allows for smooth transitions and continuity of care from hospital to outpatient settings.

I enjoy both my wound and ostomy practices. In my wound practice I am excited by evolving research-based modalities that aid in the treatment of chronic and debilitating wounds. In my ostomy practice, my goal is to assist people in regaining confidence and independence after what is frequently a life-altering diagnosis. I am always interested in following the latest research on wound care science through journals and peer review groups. National conferences on both wound and ostomy care keep me updated and allow for networking with peers nationally and internationally.

I exercise up to five days per week, and at work, always opt to walk between campuses and take the stairs. I make an effort to choose healthy organic foods whenever possible. Outside of work, I am an avid hiker and reader. I enjoy my husband’s gourmet Italian cooking and raising a teenage boy! Our pet Beagle, Lucie, keeps me active and moving as well.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
