Welcome to my practice

I strongly believe that one should be proactive with their health, as opposed to being reactive. Participate in your health care! It’s easier to forestall a disaster than to have to deal with it. You only have one life; live it to the fullest!

My Background

After that first rotation through the emergency room during nursing school, there was no turning back. I was home. After eleven years as an emergency/trauma registered nurse, working in some of the most prestigious emergency rooms across the country, the zeal for emergency medicine was still there, but I needed more. I pursued a master's degree in nursing, graduated from Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Kentucky, and became an American Academy of Nurse Practitioners board certified family nurse practitioner in 2009. I joined the Kaiser Permanente emergency room team in February 2011, and am elated to lend my services to the Santa Clara County.

My Recommendations

An important part of being your clinician is understanding who you are. That also means understanding how valuable your time is. Be sure to log on to kp.org so you can e-mail me, check your lab results, make an appointment, access our many online programs or get information about a particular health topic - any time it's convenient for you. So you and your family can take care of your health and still have time for the rest of your life.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
