Welcome to My Internet Home Page
Welcome to my Internet Homepage. Thank you for your interest and taking the time to know more about me and to learn more about the Surgery Department at Kaiser Permanente Stockton and Modesto. There are a number of links to clinical information, as well as a link to the web sites of other members of our department.
About Me
I obtained my medical degree at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Cincinnati, OH. After I graduated, I was commissioned as an officer of the United States Navy and completed my surgery internship at Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA. I completed my general surgery residency at New York Methodist Hospital affiliated with Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York, NY. I recently completed the cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh, PA. My medical interests include cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. As a surgeon, I consider myself fortunate to be allowed the privilege of solving some of the most difficult challenges in patients’ lives. This is a responsibility I take seriously and I will deliver care with compassion and understanding. I joined Kaiser Permanente as it provides a unique environment where I can effectively provide my best possible quality care to my patients.
I am married and have two wonderful children. I chose to stay in the Central Valley because of the environment, the weather, and the people. At my leisure, I love reading, bike riding and spending time with my family.
My Philosophy of Care
The science of medicine must be practice as a team, whereas the art of medicine must be individualized. Therefore, it is very important to me that each patient care be tailored to the patient’s individual needs and concerns.
Thank you for visiting my home page. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome and I look forward to seeing you.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
