Having grown up in San Francisco, I enjoy many of the venues available in the Bay Area. I tend to bicycle to work and seek out places to ride in the Bay Area. The food and wine quality are especially good in this area and makes for great opportunities to visit with friends and family. Redwood City is a great place to enjoy public venues such as music and dancing at the square.

It is my pleasure to serve as an anesthesiologist here at Kaiser Permanente Redwood City. This hospital system has a well integrated group of specialists that work closely together in a collegial manner. When I take care of a patient, they have not only me care, but the entire family of health care providers at Kaiser Permanente. My practice is to serve each patient as though they were a close friend or family member.

I started in 2006 and have developed a keen interest in pain control, particularly for orthopedic patients. This is performed by injecting numbing medicine around large nerves to provide pain relief, much like that performed by dentists. This technique is reliable, takes little time and is well tolerated. It can provide a substantial amount of relief and help patients get the rest they need to heal.

It is a privilege to take care of you and your family members.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
