About Me:
Ni Hao (How are you) and welcome to my home page. I was born in Hancheng city (Shaanxi province) China. I attended Beijing University of Physical Education where I obtained my Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation degree. After graduating, I taught at this university for four years. While teaching at Beijing University of Physical Education, I learned Traditional Chinese Medicine at Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). I further continued my education at American Global University, obtaining my Doctorate of Philosophy in Oriental Medicine Research Advancement in 2003.
I came to the United States in 1996 and had my own private practice in Belmont; I also had been working as faculty at two TCM colleges in the Bay Area before I joined Kaiser Permanente in January 2002.
Besides practicing Acupuncture, I enjoy teaching Acupressure, Tai Chi & Qi Gong classes at the San Jose Medical Center. I like music, hiking, and enjoy practicing Wu Shu (Chinese Martial Arts), Tai Chi and Ping Pong. I have won eight competitions at International Championships for Tai Chi. Another tidbit that many do not know, is that once upon a time I was an actor.
My Goal:
I am very pleased that Kaiser Permanente has integrated Acupuncture as part of their medical care program. I am sure this will make Kaiser Permanente's energy flow much smoother. For patients I will do my best to help relieve their pain, ailments and help them maintain their own health by teaching them Acupressure, Tai Chi & Qi Gong and Meditation. I believe this will help people balance their mind, body, social network and improve their quality of life.
To your health: Jian Kang Chang Shou! (Be healthy and have a long life!)
