About Me

Education:
Temple University, Doctorate of Physical Therapy, 2009
University of Alabama at Birmingham, Master of Science, Physical Therapy, 1992
Northwestern University, Bachelor of Science, Physical Therapy, 1986
Western Washington University, Bachelor of Arts, Education, 1981

Residency:
Kaiser Residency in Advanced Orthopedics and Manual Therapy, 1988-89

Specialty: Orthopedics, Manual Therapy

I began my career with Kaiser in 1988 as a Physical Therapy Resident in Advanced Orthopedic Physical Therapy. In 1990, I moved into my current position as a Clinical Specialist in the Rehabilitation Services Department.

I enjoy working with a diverse patient population, evaluating and treating a wide range of orthopedic and sports medicine injuries and conditions. I am proud to be a Kaiser Permanente provider, surrounded by a dedicated staff in the Rehabilitation Services Department. As a Physical Therapy clinician, I am encouraged and supported by the organization to provide the best possible care for our patients.

When not caring for my patients, I enjoy spending time with my partner and our three beautiful daughters. I “thrive” on my daily workouts and find great benefit in staying physically fit. I am also involved in the wonderful hobby of raising and showing Golden Retrievers.

Thank you for taking the time to read my biography. I look forward to providing your physical therapy care at the Oakland Medical Center.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
