My Biography
I’ve enjoyed working in a variety of settings, including serving as the Executive Director of a Medicare-certified home health agency and creating the rehabilitation division of a staffing registry. In 1996, when I wanted to return to patient care, I chose to work for Kaiser Permanente San Francisco because of their fully integrated system, which allows clinicians to care for their patients as part of a health care team. For several years I worked in Kaiser Permanente’s Home Health Department before transferring to Outpatient. I really value Kaiser Permanente’s emphasis on preventative medicine and wellness. I've completed a year-long training program in Australian manual therapy and was recently certified as an Orthropedic Clinical Specialist by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Additionally, I work as part of a multidisciplinary team treating Incontinence and Pelvic Pain.
Outside of work, I love hiking on Mount Tam, and I enjoy spending time with my family, adventure travel, trekking, and studying hula with a halua in San Francisco.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
