Hello and welcome to my homepage! As you can see, I am a physical therapist, and I have been working at it for over 20 years. I love working with people. I try to give my patients an understanding of their problem and provide them with realistic expectations and strategies to help manage and improve their condition.
I grew up in the Bay Area, but I have lived in the Sacramento area for over 25 years. I received an undergraduate degree in Economics from U.C. Davis in 1982, which I quickly realized did not suit my preference for working with people. I subsequently received a MS in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 1987.
I am currently the Outpatient Physical Therapy Supervisor here at the South Sacramento Medical Center. Throughout my career, I have worked in various orthopedic settings. I started out at Crowl Physical Therapy (one of the first “Sports Medicine” Physical Therapy clinics in the country), where I worked with both Sports Medicine and Work-Related injuries. I came to work for Kaiser in 1995, and I worked at the Fairfield and Vacaville facilities for 11 years treating outpatient orthopedic patients. I have been here at the South Sacramento facility since October, 2006.
As a side note, I love music and play mandolin in an “old guys,” all acoustic band, and I dabble with the occasional woodworking project.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
