About Me

I was born in Michoacán, Mexico and raised in Ukiah, CA. I come from a large family of ten children! In 2006, I obtained my medical degree from Brown University School of Medicine in Providence, RI. I did my internship and residency at Boston University Medical Center, Boston, MA. I chose Emergency Medicine because I enjoy the excitement and challenge of being in the front line of medicine; you never know what’s going to walk through the door. My medical interests include EMS, Toxicology, and Environmental Emergencies. In addition to English I also speak fluent Spanish.

When I was training in Boston and making plans to move out to California everyone had high praise for Kaiser Permanente. I am glad to now be part of the Kaiser Permanente family. Practicing in the Central Valley is ideal because it is located between the city and my all-time favorite place, Yosemite, CA. In my spare time my hobbies include hiking and exploring the outdoors.

Philosophy of Care

I believe that medicine is a partnership between the patient and the doctor.

Thank you for visiting my home page. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome. I look forward to meeting you and caring for you and your family when a medical emergency brings you to our hospital.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
