About Me

My Credentials

Medical school University of Minnesota School of Medicine, Minneapolis, MN
Residency University of Minnesota School of Medicine, Minneapolis, MN
Fellowship UC San Francisco, San Francisco, CA
Board certification Diagnostic Radiology, American Board of Radiology
Board certification Neuroradiology, American Board of Radiology

I began my career at Kaiser Oakland in August, 2004. The expertise and comradery of my associates are part of the reason I chose Kaiser as my place of employment.

I was raised in rural South Dakota. After medical school and residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Minnesota, I spent four years practicing as a general radiologist in San Antonio where I was stationed in the Air Force. Since then, I have completed a two-year fellowship in neuroimaging at the University of California in San Francisco. I am board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology.

Although I enjoy every aspect of radiology, I have a special interest in imaging of diseases of the brain, spine, head and neck. The unique and interesting anatomy and the rapidly changing and improving technology in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT) make neuroimaging a challenging and exciting specialty.

My husband and I reside in Piedmont. We have a daughter who was born at Kaiser Oakland. I am pleased and thankful that my daughter and I received outstanding care from Labor and Delivery and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

I am very proud to work at Kaiser Oakland, where I have the flexibility and resources to serve patients with their health and best interests in mind. The outstanding people with whom I work make my job truly satisfying.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
