As a Pulmonologist, I specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions of the respiratory system. There are many types of diseases that may affect an individual, so it is my goal to work with you to understand your problem and find a solution. I believe that educating the patient about their condition allows them to better live with and manage this condition. My goal is to establish a relationship with my patients in order to provide thorough care for their particular issues.

About Me...

I received my undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and my medical degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. My residency and chief residency in internal medicine were at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center. My fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine was at Stanford University Medical Center where I subsequently spent a year on staff as a clinical instructor. I am board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases and Critical Care Medicine. Some of my clinical interests include Pulmonary Vascular Disease and Eosinophilic lung diseases.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy the outdoors and hobbies such as hiking, tennis and basketball. Travel and family are important parts of my life. I also enjoy politics and current events.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
