About Me

Welcome to my home page. I hope you find this site educational and insightful to help you and your family THRIVE in life.

Born and raised in the State of Hawai'i, I attended John A. Burns School of Medicine on the Island of O’ahu. From my medical school experiences with Kaiser Permanente in Hawai'i, I was determined to become part of the integrated healthcare system of Kaiser Permanente. Because there were no Kaiser Permanente residency programs in Hawai'i, I moved to California and completed my Post-Graduate Training at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara as an Internal Medicine Specialist. At Kaiser Permanente Stockton and Modesto, I have been given the opportunity to lead our Musculoskeletal Medicine department. I am proud to be part of an outstanding group of healthcare professionals at Kaiser Permanente Central Valley. Although Hawai'i calls to me at times, there is much work to be done. The Central Valley will be my home for many years to come.

With Hawai'i being such a large part of my life, I try to bring a little of Hawai'i to my patients and colleagues each day. I wear an Aloha shirt whenever I am in Clinic. And I bring the Spirit of Aloha to each of my patients through the warmth of my care and concern. My philosophy for patient care is also something that I learned in Hawai'i. It is one patient at a time.

Mahalo nui loa (Thank you very much) for visiting my home page.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
