About Me

I have spent my entire career, a total of 13 years, as an Interventional Radiologist at Kaiser Permanente at Walnut Creek, CA. Many people do not know much about our specialty, Interventional Radiology (IR). An Interventional Radiologist is a physician who uses medical imaging equipments to guide instrumentations to perform minimally invasive medical procedures. It is a fairly new specialty, technologically advancing at a rapid rate worldwide. One of the most appealing feature of the specialty is that Interventional Radiologists can sometimes perform procedures that might had required more invasive open surgeries in the past. Due to the recent rapid advancement of Medical Imaging Equipments, such as CAT scans, ultrasounds and MRI's, Interventional Radiologists of today utilize cutting edge technologies to perform very complex medical procedures without the need for open surgery.

I could honestly say that I am honored to be accepted in this medical specialty, being in the forefront of medical technology, and I certainly enjoy my practice enormously. Kaiser Permanente has given me the unique opportunity to practice IR in a very integrated clinical setting, which is very beneficial to my patients.

In additional to my clinical practice, I am also the section sub-chief of Interventional Radiology.

I grew up in Brooklyn, New York and went to school in New York. I moved to California to join Kaiser Permanente in 1991. I enjoy snow skiing with my family when I am not at work.
