Welcome to My Internet Home Page

Thank you for visiting my home page and getting to know more about me. I joined Kaiser Permanente Stockton in July 2006 and I am a hospitalist.

A hospitalist is a physician whose primary focus is in the care of hospitalized patients. If you or your loved one is to be admitted into Dameron hospital, your primary physician will not be seeing you during your stay. You will however be seen by our medical team in Dameron.

About Me

I was born and raised in Saigon, Vietnam. I became interested in medicine when I was young and I always wanted to help people. My parents and my sister are my sources of inspiration; they instilled a sense of hard work and discipline in me which drives me to pursue my goal. I was ranked as one of the top students for six continuous years and graduated magna cum laude. I received my medical degree at University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I then completed my internship in Neurosurgery and worked at Cho Ray Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam before I immigrated to the United States. I continued my education by completing my residency in Internal Medicine at Lutheran Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York. My medical interests include Nephrology and Cardiology. I am proud to be a part of this well-organized group. Central Valley is a good place to live because of its proximity to the cities and the beautiful nature.

Besides English, I am also fluent in Vietnamese. My hobbies include watching movies, travel with my family and playing table tennis. During my years in Vietnam, I had won numerous awards and medals for playing in table tennis tournaments.

My Philosophy of Care

My desire to be a physician dates back to my childhood. Having been raised in the environment where so many of my fellow countrymen had not received sufficient medical attention made me passionate about health care and wanted to care for those in need. I want to be a physician with wide-range of knowledge; with a combination of love and care to help my patients in relieving pain and suffering. I want to help my patients to improve their quality of life.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
