About Me

I am from the Midwest and I graduated from University of Missouri in 1994. I have enjoyed traveling since graduation. I have gained a wide variety of experience in pediatrics while working at Rusk Rehab in New York City along with TIRR and Texas Children's hospital in Houston, Texas.

I moved out to Alameda, California in September of 2006 and worked at Lucile Packard Childrens Hospital in Palo Alto for two years prior to joining Kaiser. I am NDT trained and I have my advanced practice in swallowing/dysphagia.

I chose to practice at Kaiser because I look forward to being a part of the development of the pediatric program here at Kaiser in Oakland. Kaiser has hired some wonderful therapists, physicians, nurses and staff dedicated to broadening the pediatric department and I am very excited to be part of this evolving team. I love working with children and I enjoy the team atmosphere here at Kaiser.

I have the opportunity to be involved with inpatients, outpatients and in the mulitdisciplinary clinics. I love the holistic approach that children receive here at Kaiser. I feel that Kaiser is dedicated to providing a thorough team approach to patient care. This approach is in alignment with my goals as an occupational therapist.

Outside of work I enjoy time with my husband and my stepdaugther. I love outdoor activities. I am an active runner and I engage in various sports. I have enjoyed living in the Bay Area as I now have quick access to the water, mountains and nature.

I look forward to being your therapist and helping with the progression of your child's functional daily living skills.

An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
