Welcome to my home page!

As a pediatrician, my relationship with my patients and their parents is very important. Keeping your children healthy and preventing illness are the reasons I chose Pediatrics for my life’s work. I know you have a choice among many excellent pediatricians and I appreciate your trust in me. I would like to further that trust by sharing with you my background and qualifications.

About Me

I was born in Kenya and grew up in Seattle, Washington. I completed my undergraduate degree in Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Washington. I subsequently obtained my medical degree from Mcgill University School of Medicine in Montreal, Quebec. I then returned to the west coast to finish my pediatric residency training at the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento. I am board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in the specialty of pediatrics.

Interests and Languages

I enjoy traveling and have a strong interest in third world health care and development. I enjoy all aspects of pediatrics, and have a special interest in neonatology and infectious diseases. Outside of work I am active in multiple sports including basketball, skiing, and softball and enjoy outdoor activities. I am a big fan of all my hometown (Seattle) professional sports teams and look forward to watching the Seahawks go to the Superbowl this year.

In addition to English, I also speak Spanish and Gujarati.

My Philosophy of Care

I encourage you to actively participate in your child’s/children’s health care. Taking advantage of our preventive care, immunization, & regular well care visits in a great place to start. I believe that Immunizations are the building blocks to your child’s/children’s well care. Following the recommendations for your child’s age group on the enclosed chart can help prevent serious health problems. Please remember to bring your children’s yellow immunization cards or a copy of the immunization records with each visit.

I am looking forward to working closely with you to ensure that your children receive the very best health care that I can provide.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
