As a Behavioral Medicine Psychologist, I work as a member of the primary care team to help ensure quality medical care, which includes addressing your emotional/mental and physical well-being. I work in close collaboration with your physician or nurse practitioner. Working together, we concentrate on practical and focused strategies for better managing your health.

As a consultant, I usually meet with you in a brief 30-minute confidential consultation to discuss the most effective strategies for decreasing troublesome symptoms and problems associated with acute and chronic medical conditions. I can also assist you in deciding what other appropriate services might help improve your condition.

Your physician or nurse practitioner will often identify aspects of your care that can benefit by consulting with a Behavioral Medicine Specialist. You can also speak with your provider about a referral to a Behavioral Medicine Specialist.

I am a bi-lingual, bi-cultural, Spanish-speaking provider. For other languages, please let us know and we will request an interpreter.

As a Psychologist in Behavioral Medicine, my goal is help you cope with the emotional consequences of acute and chronic physical illnesses. I take appointments by referral. If you do not yet have a referral, please call our appointment line at (408) 972-6442.

Our goal at Kaiser Permanente is to be your health plan of choice and deliver the quality medical care our members deserve. Thank you again for choosing Kaiser Permanente.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
