My Practice Philosophy

As a hospital physician, I take care of patients who are very sick and need continuous monitoring by a physician and supporting staff of nurses, social workers, physical and respiratory therapists and other physician consultants. The goal is to make your stay at the hospital as productive as possible, delivering the best care in the shortest possible time so that you can enjoy more time with your family and friends at home.

About Me

As far as I can remember, I always wanted to be a physician. I received my undergraduate education at S.S. Mota Singh Senior Secondary Model School, Janak Puri (India). I graduated from Guru Nanak Dev Univ Medical College, Punjab, India in 1995. In pursuit of my ambitions, I sought to complete my residency training at Kaiser Permanente. I was impressed with the quality of care, great team of physicians and all the support staff that works at Kaiser. Following my residency training, I joined the Kaiser Permanente Medical Group as a hospitalist in 2006. I am board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Iam planning to take board certification in Palliative care and Hospice in 2010.

My Interests

Aside from Hospital Medicine, my other medical interests include Palliative Care. I love Hospital Medicine because I enjoy working with patients in an acute care setting. I also work with the Palliative Care team in the hospital and help families in making difficult decisions about chronic medical illness and end of life issues. Outside of medicine, I enjoy reading, traveling, and listening to music.
