About Me

I grew up in Iran and came to the United States in the 1960’s to attend Oregon State University. Then at Pacific University I received my Doctor of Optometry degree in 1968 and a Masters of Science in Education in 1975. After my fellowship in Child Development at the Gesell Institute in Conneticut, I moved to California where I began practicing Optometry. I worked in several private practices throughout the years and specialized in vision therapy and visual/perceptual training. In 1990, I joined Kaiser in Santa Clara and have been working at the San Jose office since 1998. I was a member for the American Optometric Association and the California Optometric Association for 27 years.

My Interests

My personal interests include traveling, gardening and spending time with my husband and two children. I enjoy discussing optometric cases with my daughter who graduated from the UC Berkeley School of Optometry and currently works at Kaiser Santa Clara. I like to spend the time to talk to my patients and educate them about their eyes and how to keep their eyes healthy.

My Credentials

Professional School: Pacific University, College of Optometry, Forest Grove, OR
Degree: OD

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
