About Me

I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Loyola University in 1967. I received a Master of Arts degree in Psychology in 1972 and a Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology in 1974 both from the University of Illinois at Urbana, Illinois. I did my internship and assistantship at the Adolf Meyer Mental Health Center in Decatur, Illinois.

I am licensed in California by the Board of Psychology and am a Registered Psychologist in Illinois. I am a member of the American Psychological Association and am listed in the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.

I joined Kaiser Permanente in 1981 as a Psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry and have worked for Kaiser Permanente at the Martinez, Sacramento, and Roseville Medical Centers.

I currently work in the Child, Adolescent, and Family Program of the Department of Psychiatry in Roseville. Providers in the Child, Adolescent and Family program are specialists in the mental health problems experienced by children and their families. We provide brief treatment to children, adolescents and families. We involve the family in learning new skills to deal with psychiatric issues. We see people individually, in families or in groups depending upon problems being treated and the developmental needs of the child.

I enjoy being a part of the Kaiser Permanente health care system and I enjoy being of assistance to the children and families with whom I work. Working at Kaiser Permanente is both challenging and rewarding; it provides an opportunity to collaborate and coordinate care with a complete health care team.

Be sure to visit the Kaiser Permanente Website for additional information regarding appointments, prescriptions, health education classes and other health-related topics. You can also click on my department link above to receive additional health information.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
