Welcome to My Home Page!

I began working in the field of counseling and mental health quite a while ago, as an Adolescent Peer Counselor while I was a high school student on the east coast. In California, I have worked in many organizations providing mental health services, chemical dependency treatment, counseling, and psychotherapy. I began working for Kaiser Permanente in 1995 while I was a graduate student at UC Berkeley. Trained as a clinical social worker, I use an eclectic and wholistic approach to helping people achieve their goals. I provide assessments, individual and group psychotherapy as a member of the Adult Team.

I appreciate the varied resources at Kaiser Permanente and encourage patients to take advantage of the groups which we offer. Having such experienced and knowledgable colleagues is another benefit to me and to my patients. I particularly appreciate Kaiser Permanente's emphasis on offering treatments which have been well researched.

My Education and Credentials

Undergraduate Education BS, Carnegie Mellon University, Pennsylvania
Graduate Education MSW, University of California, Berkeley (Emphasis in Community Mental Health)
Licensure Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
