I am proud to be a member of such an outstanding department and the medical group at Kaiser Permanente Central Valley. This site is to help you become a little more familiar with me and the Anesthesia Department.

About Me

I was born and raised in Compton, California. My passion for both people and science led me to follow the footsteps of my mother by going into the medical field. I received my medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, CA. I then fulfilled my desire to see other parts of the country by doing my internship at District of Columbia General Hospital, Georgetown University Division, and my Anesthesia residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC.

I moved back to California and have been practicing in Modesto for over 20 years. I wanted to be closer to my family and to enjoy the benefits of living outside the big cities.

I have only recently joined The Permanente Medical Group. I wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to join an organization that was setting the standard for health care; and also be a part of the opening of a brand new hospital in Modesto.

I am married to my wife Rachel and we have two children, Cristina and Billy. My personal interest include working on classic automobiles, water and snow skiing, serving on medical missionary teams, and doing Christian pre-marital counseling with my wife at our church, Big Valley Grace Community Church in Modesto.

My Philosophy of Care

I believe that when people come for surgery, it is my purpose and obligation to alleviate, as much as possible, all their apprehensions and fears. I hope to do this by being open, caring, and communicative. It is important to me to address their particular situation.
