I am a Bay Area native and think we live in one of the greatest places in the world! I love this area for its diversity in geography, people and cultures. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, with honors from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2000. In 2005, I graduated from San Jose State University with a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy.

I specialize in pediatrics with an emphasis in early childhood development. Before joining Kaiser in 2011, I worked privately and for a nonprofit organization where I evaluated and treated school-aged children and younger children through early intervention services. My areas of interest include treating developmental delay, feeding difficulties and neurological rehabilitation. I advocate for keeping children physically active through participation in sports, in addition to other forms of physical play and exercise. When working with children in a therapeutic setting, I strongly believe in actively involving parents in the treatment process. This includes parents observing and participating in our sessions, as well as carrying out a home exercise program. I have found that working as a team with parents is crucial for therapeutic progress.

On a personal note, I am married and have a young child who keeps me very busy! In my free time I enjoy sewing, cooking, traveling and hiking.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
