Welcome to my Practice

Welcome and thank you for visiting me today. I have been practicing audiology since 1998. While doing my undergraduate work in Psychology, I became interested in the field of hearing while taking an elective class in sign language. I began to research the area of hearing loss and its effects on one’s emotional and social well being. After years of training and work in the field of deaf education I transferred my interests to audiology where I feel I can have the greatest impact on assisting people with hearing impairment and improving quality of life through better hearing. Now, is such an exciting time in audiology, as technological advancements in hearing aids have given us the products and the tools that assist us in changing lives.

My Background

A native to California Bay Area, I received my Masters degree in Audiology from San Jose State University in 1998. In 2001 I went back to University of Florida to complete my Doctorate degree in Audiology. I practiced locally as a diagnostic and dispensing audiologist for the last twelve years before joining Kaiser Permanente in 2008. 2008 has been a monumental year for me. I am so fortunate to have joined the Audiology team at Kaiser Permanente and was also blessed with twin baby girls in April! My husband, Matthew and I spend all our free time with our girls, family and friends. With twins in the house, all other hobbies are on hold for now!!

My Interests

Raising twin girls, sewing, crocheting

My Recommendations

Don’t ignore changes in your hearing. The impact of hearing loss can be greatly reduced by starting early with intervention. Hearing loss can be so isolating. Let’s keep you a part of the conversation! Product advancements have improved the quality and the look of hearing aids so come see us and let’s get started!
