About Me

Having spent most of my childhood growing up here in Northern California, I am very happy to once again call the Bay Area my home. Undoubtedly, this region is one of the best places in which to live and raise a family. I also feel quite fortunate to be a member of Kaiser Permanente, both as a patient and as a physician. My family and I have been very pleased with the medical care that we've received at Kaiser, and I hope that my patients will feel the same way!

About Anesthesia

Having an operation or procedure may be somewhat stressful, and it is my job to give you the smoothest and safest anesthetic possible. By browsing the links on the left side, you may read about preparing for surgery and anesthesia. You can also expect to receive a phone call from one of our nurse educators to discuss arrival time and fasting information.

I will be happy to answer your questions when I meet you on the day of surgery. Please note that occasionally, our schedules will change, and a different anesthesiologist may be assigned to your case.

I look forward to meeting you.

My Credentials

Internship Alameda County Medical Center, Oakland, CA

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
