Dear Patients:
Welcome to my home page. This site is designed to provide you with information about myself, various gastrointestinal disorders and procedures. There are many useful web links by selecting the "Common Problems" link.
About Me
I grew up in San Jose, California. My personal interests include spending time with my family, traveling, hiking, mountain biking, and snow skiing.
I have been in practice with Kaiser Permanente since 1993. My clinical interests include diagnosing and treating various gastrointestinal and liver disorders. I perform various diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal procedures.
My Philosophy of Care
I believe that Kaiser Permanente provides outstanding medical care and service. I try to the best of my ability to explain things clearly to my patients. Patients should play an active role in their health care. Avoidance of smoking and alcohol as well as exercising and maintaining an ideal body weight will prevent many illnesses.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
