I was born in Tampa, Florida, and raised in a Navy family. I graduated from Folsom High School. I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served as an Air Policeman from 1963 through Sept 1967, stationed in Tachikawa, Japan; Naha, Okinawa; and Grand Forks, North Dakota. On my return to California in 1967, I enrolled at California State University, Sacramento, and graduated with a BA in Psychology in In 1974, I graduated with a MSW in Clinical Social Work. My internships were in the VA, Martinez inpatient psychiatry, 1972-73; and as an outpatient therapist at Auburn Mental Health, 1973-74. My license number is LCSW 5833.
