About Me

I was born and raised in the East Bay right here in California, I have wanted to be a physician since the first day that someone asked me “What do you want to be when you grow up?”, knowing that I always wanted to be in a profession that would allow me to help others. I have wanted to be a cardiologist from the moment that I took care of my first cardiac patient during my first few months of residency. I enjoy working with patients in the acute cardiac setting and love the long term partnerships that I have forged with patients as we work together to change their lifestyle habits, gain greater understanding and awareness into their cardiac health, and improve their overall health and outlook. I am looking forward to the partnerships that the Kaiser Permanente family and I will form with you as a patient.

I graduated from New York Medical College in 2000. My residency training and fellowship were both completed at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center of New York. I also had another fellowship at Mount Sinai Medical Center. I am board certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2006.

I believe in taking on challenges in life and experiencing life to its fullest potential. When I am not working, I love to travel with my family and friends, exploring new cultures and trying new cuisines. My most recent travels have been to Italy and Japan. I am an avid runner and have completed the New York City marathon twice. Having lived and trained in New York City for over ten years has been one of the greatest adventures and challenges of my life, but I guarantee you will hear no “New Yorker” accent… I will always be a California girl at heart.

I look forward to meeting you as we here at Kaiser Permanente work toward improving your cardiac health.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
