Greetings! Welcome to my Home Page!

I am proud to be a member of such an outstanding department and medical group at Kaiser Permanente San Rafael. I hope that we can always provide the highest quality of care and service to you.

About Me

I was born and raised in San Francisco, the second oldest of six siblings. Our family physician, whom our family admired and adored, was instrumental as a career choice role model. I am delighted to be affiliated with Kaiser Permanente, a national model of cost effective quality health care, because it allows me to practice medicine in its purest form. Unlike my previous private practice, I am gladly no longer distracted by the burdensome paperwork associated with patient care. At Kaiser Permanente, I can now concentrate on what I was trained to do, to provide quality care to my patients. Furthermore, Kaiser Permanente enables their physicians to lead balanced lives, which to state the obvious, leads to happier physicians.

My personal interests include primarily quality family time, aerobic exercise, and reading.

My Philosophy of Care

I feel deeply privileged that patients entrust their most prized possession, their lives, to me. The patient is obviously not only a single entity, but an important part of a larger social entity, for example, spouse, parent, child, relative, friend, etc. With this in mind, I take my responsibility as your anesthesiologist very seriously. My professor's teaching stands foremost in my mind, "treat each patient as if they were your own loved ones, and you will do the right thing."

Thank you for taking the time to visit my home page, and I look forward to seeing you at your next appointment!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
